There are many creative minds from Stampin' Up! that I always enjoy seeing and Sara Douglass is one of them! I was excited to see Sara's article, "My Favorite Things about Stamping by Sara Douglass" posted on www.ellapublishing.com and thought I'd share with you.

Spring Fever Cards & Treats!

Every month at Creative Tuesday, we feature a Stamp-A-Stack (of cards) in addition to one other class that rotates; offering new and fresh projects! I'm so excited to share the March Spring Fever Class using our Spring Fever Simply Scrappin' Kit (which is NOT just for Scrapbooking!)

Here's a look at what we'll be making at this class:

The beauty of the Creative Tuesday classes is that you have the option to make cards, but you can also dive right into using products that you might not otherwise take a second look at! The Simply Scrappin' Kit was like that for me, until this class came along. 

You'll make 4 cards (you can use an assortment of sentiments) and receive 4 envelopes to go with them. Additionally, you'll learn 2 fun new templates! Create a paper Easter Basket (perfect for giving Peeps!) and a pouch using a large circle and the Simply Scored Tool!

And since you get an ENTIRE 1/2 pack of a Spring Fever Kit, you'll use part of it to make your projects but still go home with LOTS left over to keep on creating more fabulous projects to coordinate!

Simple 'Celebrate' in 3 Styles

Hello friend- 
I sure do wish this photo wasn't so darn blurry.  I hope you can get enough of a visual to see where I'm going with this! 

The featured card design is a nice and simple card that you can duplicate with ease.  These cards feature 3 separate stamp sets, but each is so versatile that you'll want to pick then up if you haven't already!  While playing around with the card design I was trying a couple of ways to see what I liked the best.

One of my favorite 'go to' tools is the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (#119275); it's like having 3 punches in one.  When your paper is punched out, it looked like this...

When layering your paper, you can put the Scallop Ribbon Border behind your top layer of paper and show the small dots or not as seen to the left. 

The three cards are using the following products:

Thank you to everyone who came out to Stamp Shoppe this weekend! We had a wonderful time and it always makes me happy to see so many faces… both new and returning!

Here's a friendly reminder that the February Creative Tuesday session is coming up on February 28th — but that the Registration Deadline is coming up even sooner!! This class is different than Stamp Shoppe because I need to pre-order quite a bit of product for you to make your projects. The registration deadline is just 2 days away on February 15th.

The next Creative Tuesday is on February 28th from 6:30-9:30 and as always, there are TWO class options. If you want to do both classes you certainly may, just know that you will NOT finish all of the projects (and that's okay!) You'll need to do stamping and cutting while at the class and then some additional assembly at home. I'll give you the instructions that you'll need.

Blender Pen Video Tutorial

Blender Pens are on my 'favorites' list for sure!  They're on my mind today as I've just come from a Stamp Shoppe weekend.  One of the perks of coming to Stamp Shoppe is a stop in the 'First Timer's Room'.  We make a simple, yet very cute 3x3 card using blender pens and the Easy Events Stamp Set.  


I love the Stampin' Up! video below that offers some great tips for using Blender Pens.  These little babies are an exceptional value with 3 to a pack for less than $10 AND they make you look like you've worked really hard to make a beautifully watercolored image.
