NEW - This and That!

I love this idea a million times over again!  I love me some paper, that's for sure, but I'm not a very good traditional scrapbooker.  My designs don't seem to flow as nicely as I'd like and if feels just a little bit formal for me.

Since I was  young girl, I've always liked the creative hap-hazard sassiness of collages or unceremoniously collecting clips from magazines or old card fronts that 'speak to me'.  I wasn't really sure what I was doing (!!!), I just knew that I liked to collect my thoughts from that moment in time and put them in a book, on a book, on my mirror, in my locker or on bulletin board.  It was my thing!

Now - I found my adult version of being able to do that! This and That is a cool new line from Stampin' Up! that features casual and off the cuff stickers, a fun journal with pages that beg to be filled, a date stamp (woo hoo!) and more.  This is an unique opportunity to capture your life as it is right now while you're in the thick of it!

Get a sneak peek into the 2013-2014 annual catalog with the This and That product line that lets you capture it all on-the-go.

WAYS TO USE THIS & THAT
  • At the kid's game or favorite activity? Jot down the off the wall fun things they're saying. Leaving the hairdresser? Tuck your next appointment card right in with some washi tape. Having a girls' day at lunch and the movies? Stash the tickets right there and have each friend write her favorite part of the day. The possibilities are endless, and the goal is perfect imperfection.
  • This and That is great when you use all the products together, but each product is great on its own too! The Designer Series Paper is great for cards, scrapbooking and projects and the rotary date stamp is so fun! Plus, the other embellishments ROCK!

Now through April 30th only, save 15% off when you purchase the Epic Day This and That Bundle.

A Pinwheel Birthday makes the perfect KISS Card!

Check out this sweet KISS Card (Keep It Simple, Sister!)
A KISS card uses only a few supplies to you can make oodles of the same design in a very short time or one smashing beauty of a card in a snap!

I'm diggin' the Pinwheel Sizzlet.  She's cute and adds a serious wallop of fun while the rest of your card remains rather simple. Two quick design notes for the little pinwheels:
  1. I've also found great success when using the silver mini brads for the center of the pinwheel.
  2. Add a mini glue dot in the center of the pinwheel and then fold the 4 corners inward.  The glue dot makes things stick a little bit easier. You can then navigate the brad through the center hole that the sizzlet makes for you.
Here's your Supply List for this exclusive Stampin' Up! design:
Stamps
Essentials*
Paper
• Island Indigo Cardstock, Tea for Two Designer Paper* & Watercolor Paper
Ink
• Island Indigo Classic Ink & Gold Glow Smooch Spritz (notice the gold spritzing on the card)

• Basics Glimmer Brads, Dimensionals, Aqua Painters (for the blue 'swooshy' background), Big Shot, Pinwheel Sizzlits* & a toothpick

All Dressed Up in Island Indigo

Oh la la!
I've been prepping for my All Dressed Up Combo Card Class all day today.  I love the components of the set and am quickly discovering that the sky is the limit!  I was so excited to try a little of this and a little of that, that I didn't get nearly as far as I wanted :)

So... I regrouped -- Cleared off my workspace and started fresh.  I've seen oodles of ideas using the Pop Up Posies kit so I thought I'd take that route.  I'm really glad I did!  It was fun to play and I found my mojo coming right on back but this time with a wee bit of focus.

I posted a few shots periodically through the day on my Facebook Page.  Take a minute to click over and check it out.

Here are two versions of the same fashionable card.  A 'Before' Dazzling Diamonds and 2-Way Glue Pen and an 'After'.  I'm not sure that we can go wrong!

St. Patrick's Day: Pot of Gold Punch Art

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!  A touch of color and a touch of tradition makes for a fun design. This card was featured at the February Punch Art class and I though it fitting to share with you today. In person this card has a colorful bounce and a glitzy happiness.  The brushed gold card stock is of course gold in color but also has small subtle flecks of shimmer that brings oodles of interest.  The rainbow is a sassy show piece by itself!  After the Stampin' Write Markers are used to make a wonderful "swoosh" of color, a swipe of the 2-Way Glue Pen and sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds you'll see the card simply come to life!

NEW! Photopolymer Stamps!

Want perfect placement? Here's your ticket!
Stampin' Up! is testing the market with their new, transparent photopolymer stamps.  These stamps are being offered on a trial basis in additition to our wood and clear mount stamps.

The benefits?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time. (HUGE BENEFIT!!)

The top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and is well-suited for our firm-foam pads.  Additionally, they are pliable enough to bend on your block - perfect for projects that need the pennant or arrow on a curvy slant!

The sky is the limit when it comes to personalizing projects with this stamp set. Here are a few fun (and perhaps off the wall) ideas!

A 'Feeling Sentimental' Hello

I've got a sweet sneek peak for you!  The March Stamp Shoppe is coming up this weekend.  The card designs offer a nice variety of colors, sentiments and fun things to play with.  I'm really excited to show you the following card and for a few reasons.
  1. Simple is beautiful!  This particular card design has interest, character and a little 'bling' but it's rather simple and a snap to make.
  2. The new Designer Builder Brads are featured in such a fun way.  The catalog and online photo just don't capture how pretty these are in person. The cool thing about these brads?  You can add any color stamp, paper or 'whatever' in the center by punching the circle out using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle - it's an exact fit.
  3. I'm loving the simplistic use of the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder Set It's a gentle touch that brings the card to the next level of interest in the most subtle of ways.  The Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder set comes with two different designs for only $7.95.  That's an incredible value for folders that you can have forever and a day!
  4. We're featuring the Feeling Sentimental Sale-A-Bration (SAB) Stamp Set. This 'vintage' style stamp set is so cool and a wonderful throwback to days gone past.  Click here to see what Sale-A-Bration has to offer. Pick a free SAB gift with every $50 you spend through March 22nd.

Kriss used several Sale-A-Bration goodies to add extra sassy 'oomph' to her card design.  Here's the supply list:
Paper: Sierra Sand, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White & Island Indigo Card Stock, Sycamore Street Designer Paper.
Ink: Rick Razzleberry & Island Indigo
Cool Tools: The Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits,  Large Oval Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch
Bling: Basic Rhinestones
