This is a pretty little card (a Stampin' Up! exclusive design) is adorned with Sale-A-Bration items!
There are several sweet parts and pieces that I'd like to show you in this design.  Take a look-see...

• I love the use of the textured card stock.  The photo pics up the texture nicely so that you can see how the card has a bit more visual interest. I promise that you can't help but touch the card with yor fingertips!
• I simply love the use of the Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon under the 'thanks' sentiment.  Did you notice that was ribbon? Love!
• The Scallop Edge Border is used to give the 'ruffled' effect, yet because Island Indigo is used several times, the result is subtle and sweet rather than busy. 
• The Rhinestone Jewels add the perfect touch of shiny bling to the butterflies.  Again, subtle touches that are just plain 'ole pretty!

A General Tid-Bit about Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper... There are many benefits to the SU! Designer Paper, but I'd like to point out something specific today.  The paper is always double-sided.  You will often times see a bolder, more 'In Your Pretty Face' type of design or color hues.  If that doesn't float your boat, you can flip the paper over and find a simpler, more subtle tone or design.  The colors always coordinate with the collection (or suite) hues so you can confidence that your cads and projects will always look beautiful.

I'm so stinkin' excited to share with you the new changes to the Stamp Shoppe format that I've been mentioning...
or (perhaps) teasing you with!

This weekend is the kick-off to our 2012 Stamp Shoppe year. 
We're keeping with the awesome Stamp Shoppe format
(as it works beautifully for all stampers; beginners & experts!)
yet we've added some terrific features to enhance your experience.

1. We're opening ONE HOUR EARLIER on Friday Nights, starting at 5:30 pm! Don't worry — you're still able to arrive at 6:30 or later if that's what you're used to.  In fact, we're hoping some of you still stick to your normal arrival time. But for those of you who are able and want to get an earlier start on the evening, we invite you to do so! The extra hour is to help spread out arrivals to keep things comfortable for everyone as our numbers increase. 
2. Our Display Table of the Month is being replaced with TWO, 10-minute product demos during each session! Rather than just browsing projects, you'll get to watch how to make a couple of them, and you'll also learn how to use some products that haven't been incorporated in Shoppe projects! We encourage you to still bring your camera so you can bring the ideas home with you to duplicate.
3. One of the enhancements I'm MOST excited about is the ALL NEW "First Timer's Room"! Anyone who is attending Shoppe for the first time* will get to make a bonus project, learn some basics and receive a "Getting Started Guide" to go along with a "Simple Stamping" display!
   
   If you are the person bringing a new friend, you'll still get to make DOUBLE the cards for bringing a new stamper**, so be sure to invite and bring a friend in the New Year and you'll both have a wonderful "extra" treat!

Gentle Reminder:  Bring your Stampin' Up! SNAIL adhesive  and dimensionals with you.  I will provise everything else that you need.  If you forget or don't have adhesive, I will have a limited supply at Shoppe for purchase.

Hearts Framelits Die - Loven' them!

Once I saw this exclusive Stampin' Up! card design, I couldn't wait to share it with you! There are so many wonderful features in the new Mini Occasions, that I'm having a ball working my way through all of them :)  Let me highlight a few of the great pieces that are used in the pretty card above...

Twitterpated Designer Series Paper:  Love it!  I like the versatility of the colors and the patterns.  They are fresh and several of the patterns are feminine (perfect for spring, Valentine's and Mom's day).  Yet, there are also a few patterns that can be moved towards neutral or masculine designs which means a great bang for your buck!

3/8 Pleated Satin Ribbon:  I couldn't wait to get my hands on this beautiful ribbon and I was not disappointed.  The pleating and stitching are done beautifully and makes it LOOK like I have done a whole lot of work!  This ribbon is easy to work with, a cinch to cut and so pretty!  Another nice feature?  This ribbon has a lot going on (visually).  You don't need to over do it by having a lot on your card; a small length add so much personality and sass to the design :) And... it's available in 4 really terrific color choices.

Framelits Die - Hearts Collection:
I was so curious to try the new Framelits.  They look so thin and delicate, YET these girls have got some grit! 
The Framelits are a snap to use and the results are well... exciting!  I was excited and I mean I think I jumped up and down a time or two! *smile!* 

It was incredibly easy to make hearts that had heart cut-outs in the center. Die-cutting my photos were a cinch and the shape came out so crisply and perfect. ; no fuzzy edges here...  There are 6 different size hearts. The largest has the most detail with a scalloped edge (the other 5 are plain hearts).

The next Creative Tuesday is on January 31st from 6:30-9:30pm. The Stamp-A-Stack (SAS) option is a nice one as you'll make quanities of your cards rather than one card of many designs.  Here's what I mean...
