BOO! Halloween Decor of the spooky variety!

One of the reason's that I really dig my Stampin' Up! business is because I can find everything I need in one place.  Stamps, Ink, Vinyl Art that can be used on a variety of mediums, ribbon, paper and the list goes on...

This spooky pic shows how easy it is to use things you have around the house and re-purpose then for great home decor and decorations.  Take the frame and glass jars for example.  Adding some Stampin' Up! ribbon and the Pick your Poison Quick Accents (124263) which includes quick, creepy self-adhesive accents for any project.  2 sheets: 1 each of 2 designs. 12" x 12".

First Edition Designer Paper Meets Halloween!

LAYERING is hot, hot, hot in the paper crafting corner of the world.  I'd like to feature two Halloween cards.  Both are Stampin' Up! exclusive designs and share two common denominators... A Halloween theme and First Edition Designer Series Paper.  Check it out!

Card #1
on the left features the Bingo Card and Spooky Bingo Bits Stamp Sets.  The sweet little bingo bit images can easily be cut out using Stampin' Up!'s paper snips.  Notice the small visual break in the card -or- the First Edition Designer Series Paper.  Fun!
Card #2 on the right offers a festive color combo showing off some serious eye candy!!  The paper yoyo in the center can be easily made using the new Stampin' Up! Simply Scored.  The First Edition Designer Paper is a suble background that can be used in a variety of ways... I think that the little 'ole paper yoyo pops so much because the First Edition DSP does its job & gently fades to the back giving props to the main feature!

Now let me tell you a bit more about the First Edition Print Paper.  Wowza - what a value!  24 sheets per pack (double what's usually in our Designer Paper packs) makes this one heck of a great investment. Here's a glimpse at the patterns of the paper....
To order any of the products featured in this post, visit my online webstore today! Remember, orders over $150 means that you'll receive atleast $25 in hostess dollars to be spent on anything that you wany - anything!

Spice Cake Color Suite!

My sweet family will be gathering at our house for Thanksgiving this year.  My hubby and Mama make the menu come to life while I enjoy focusing on making the house festive.  My creative wheels are turning with ideas for sassing up our quaint digs.

The one thing that I do know to date is that I'm crazy for the Spice Cake Color Suite!  The Pool Party brings a refleshingly blue hue to the traditional fall colors shown in the fabric and Designer Paper.

Here's a glimpse at the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper Patterns... LOVE IT!!
The coordinating Spice Cake Fabric coordinates beautifully with the paper and ink hues...

Beau Chateau makes it easy and elegant!

It has been forever and a day since I've offered some fresh 'eye candy' for you!  Yesterday was a beautifully crisp fall day.  There was a nice breeze and the sun was shining.  Took lots of photos of cards that have been piling up for me to share with you.

This pretty card has very little stamping with a old style vintage flair to it...

There were a few easy things that I did to give the 'vintagy' feel. These techniques can be used on any card or project that you're working on.
1. I tore the edges of the blue designer paper giving a gently jagged appearance.
2. You'll notice a lot of sponging in Early Espresso Classic ink along the edges of the various pieces of paper, making them look a bit aged.
3. The top corner of the Designer Paper has also been curled a tad to make the card look like it's been around the block!

The star of this show however is the Beau Chateau Side Notes.  These die cut pieces (shown on the right) are so stinkin' cool!

Here's Stampin' Up!'s description of the Side Notes... "Uniquely shaped die-cut tags and accents offer a quick way to add dimension, texture, and journaling to any project. Heavyweight felt-weave paper. 24 total notes. Packaged loosely—ready to adhere with any of our adhesives. Coordinates with Beau Château suite."
These pretty die cuts make me want to decoupage, collage and just make all kinds of 'out of the box' creations.  Stay tuned for more!

  • Designer Paper: Pocket Full of Posies

Pretty Paper Promotion!

I'm a paper lover... There it is.  I've said it!  I have loved paper for as long as I can remember.
Oohhh the rush I would get from back to school shopping when I had every excuse to stock up on crisp fresh paper.  Then I evolved to making my own version of designer paper by cutting out pictures of magazines and collaging them on my textbooks as book covers.  I went through a wall paper phase (thank God, I'm over that!) Now I have found my new love, Stampin' Up!s Designer Series Paper or DSP.  Delicious Colors, Incredible Patterns and Just Plain FUN!

During August, purchase 3 Designer Series Paper packs and Receive a 4th for FREE!
YAHOO!!!

Here's a little feast for the eyes...  No stamping to be found, just Pocket Full of Posies DSP, a flower punch and some linen thread!

Technique Tip:  To add some texture and interest, I roughed up the edges of the Softy Suede card stock with my fingernail (or you can use a SU! sanding block).

Supply List:
Card Stock: Pear Pizzazz & Soft Suede
DSP: Pocket Full of Posies (click to see different views of the paper)
Extras: SNAIL Adhesive, Linen Thread, Fancy Flower Punch, 1" Circle Punch.
